Wingless FlightThe smell of smoke and alcohol fills my nose as I press the cold highball glass to my lips and let the bourbon flow over my tongue. My eyes watch the bartender as she turns to make a drink for some greasy sleazball beside me.   I set my glass down and smile as my gaze studies her more thoroughly; her small shoulders, her hourglass figure, her tightly rounded ass.   Her braided golden hair drapes over her shoulders as she leans over to look into a dark colored wooden cabinet.   How cute.   Sixteen years ago, I had someone even more beautiful than the woman before me. When it rainsSpencer licked her half of the cherry Popsicle as she watched Bluebell, her malamute mix, lick hers. They sat on the front lawn, shaded from the summer heat by the old Crabtree and faced the cracked asphalt street. The yellow line was faded and nearly gone and the pothole beside their mailbox seemed to grow as the sun slowly disappeared   She sighed, the feeling of loss and hopelessness growing with the storm clouds above her head. Bluebell stopped lapping up the dribble of cherry from Spencer’s bare leg and watched her with the concern that only a beloved dog knows.

Better Than Heven Ch 3I leap into the night sky and fly as fast as I possibly can back to the place I am staying.   How can I be so stupid?   I fly in through Kate’s bedroom window and sigh as I sit on her bed, my wings still exposed. My eyes lock on the floor as I wait to hear movement in the building.  
 What am I? Some stupid kid?   Angels should never let a human see their wings! I can get them cut off.   I shutter, wrapping my arms around myself and gripping my shoulder blades.   Or worse, I can have them torn from my back. One of the ultimate prices to pay as an angel. The worst of the worst is Better Than Heven Ch 3

Well, it's back to school. Great, right? Ugh, I hate it...
I walked into the building and the first thing that came to mind was how much I hate that place. I go there, strictly, for social reasons. Seriously.
Try finding some reason that will make me go otherwise. Seriously, try.
By the end of my first class, I was conviced the room smelled like a doctors office... Or the waiting room. One or the other. Hate 'em both.
Anyway, I was glad to find there were some people I know in my classes and in my lunch. However much I hate school, lunch is my favorite class. And leaveing. Not so much arriving. (Ha ha)
Idk. I'm just bored and procrastinating on homework (probably didnt spell that right). Oh well.
